Productivity Powerhouse

I’ve learned to make what other people generally consider shortcomings into my superpowers. I talk about it in my book Kill Something and Drag It Home. I do not believe that we have to let diagnoses fully define who we are. Does it affect who we are? Sure. It is part of who we are, but it doesn’t have to own us. I am diagnosed with both complex post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder…and I am (usually…like anyone else, I can have my days that suck) a productivity powerhouse.

Upwork Client Training 101

At some point, those of us who work on Upwork eventually work with someone who is brand new to the platform. They also have little to no experience working with a freelancer. There are some new clients who are very open to learning. There are others who have some unrealistic expectations about working with a freelancer and working on Upwork. The good news is that as a freelancer on Upwork, there are some things you can do to help new clients learn the process while also not feeling as if you’re responsible for babysitting them.

Answered: Your Most Burning Question about Cold Emails as a New Freelancer

I was wandering around IG last Friday. I follow several hashtags. I came across one that essentially said the only way anyone can become a successful freelance writer is to master cold emails. That threw me off because I’ve been freelancing for almost six years now (full time) and I’ve never once sent a cold email. I said as much and the OP stated that I had to do it or risk failure. Well, I guess I missed that memo because I make the amount she mentioned in her post on a fairly regular basis.
