Let’s talk about work from home boundaries. I promised I would talk about this week (last week – oops) on my Instagram Stories.Continue reading “Work from Home Boundaries: Clients & You”

But if you’re not vegan, it’s easy to use eggs and cow’s milk. I’ll include those in parentheses. Also, I am not much of a recipe blogger. Hence the normal fucking photo of the muffins with irregular tops and no giant fucking story. Fuck, that should make me your favorite vegan recipe blogger.
I came up with this recipe probably…12 years ago? And I’ve only been vegan for a year. You can add more sugar (white) to sweeten it. My adult sons didn’t have much of a sweet tooth growing up. I don’t really have one, either. BB can go either way.Continue reading “Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Breakfast Muffin [Vegan]”
So we thought that we got off easy with the murder hornets. We thought that other than the uptick in COVID-19 cases across the United States because people are dumb that maybe, just maybe, July let us off easy. Fuck no.Continue reading “Well Played, July, Bubonic Plague Squirrels in Colorado…and I Am NOT Kidding”
There’s still a whole lot of pissing and moaning by closeted racists that Black Lives Matter protests are still happening while they suddenly pretend to give a flying fuck about whether COVID-19 while spread because of large gatherings….while some not too long ago protested and took guns to government buildings because they couldn’t get a fucking haircut. (Example 1 which involves dressing as Santa; Example 2 with a government admission that if black gun owners did that, they would have been shot; and Example 3 with the State of Michigan looking to ban guns at their state capitol…yet we know this happened all over the fucking nation.) This was never about helping those in the hair and nail and beauty industry because yall could have just purchased gift cards to do that.
So, why can state and county fairs, car shows, and parades get canceled, and yet Black Lives Matter protests can still go on?Continue reading “WTF Friday: Why BLM Protests Can’t Be Banned (It Ain’t That Difficult to Understand)”

Unfortunately, I deal with chronic migraines. Not just chronic migraines, but hemiplegic migraines. And sometimes I do manage to get a migraine without the migraine, but with several other hemiplegic symptoms. Thankfully, I’ve gotten into a routine as a work from home mom that allows me to function most days, which is, frankly, most chronic migraine sufferers wet dream since a new medication only comes out about every 20 years…and it’s usually so goddamn expensive that most people can’t afford it.Continue reading “How I Deal with Chronic Migraines as a Work from Home Mom”
I am a work at home mom. And I have been for several years. I don’t beat around the bush. And I don’t put up with bullshit. I am told in person and online, “I wish I could be more like you.” Most people talk about how they could never do that. They can…they just make an active decision not to do that. Throughout the course of my entire life, I’ve made the active decision to not be like other people for one reason or another. And, yes, let’s call it what it is: judgment. It isn’t an “I’m better than they are” or an “I’m right and they are wrong” scenario (all of the time, anyway). It was 100% an “I don’t want that for me,” and we are all entitled to our own boundaries and desires.
Here are the 7 keys to living my best life as a work from home mom. If you choose to embrace them or only some of them or how your choose to interpret or embrace some or all of them may vary your results because you and I do not live the same life…and you should also make your own decisions and decide what is important to you, your results may vary.Continue reading “7 Keys to Living My Best Life (Your Results My Vary)”
