Morning Meltdown 100 – Day 1

So, I am in the first Super Trainer Test Group for Morning Meltdown 100. Although I did prep week (twice), I still feel like I got my ass handed to me today. It was only 28 minutes…of cardio. That’s just eight minutes longer than prep. And I’ve done Insanity Max, 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, and 80 Day Obsession. I’m down 20 pounds since February of 2019…so it is safe to say I have some level of fitness.
I have SVT. I am an AFib survivor. And I’ve had three abdominal surgeries. My max heart rate is supposed to be 180. I took a lot of modifications and a couple of breaks, including pressing pause. And…my average heart rate was 212. That equated to almost 500 calories burned. Although I am a calorie burning machine, I certainly don’t recommend to anyone that they ever purposefully go above their target heart rate, especially with a cardiac history. It certainly wasn’t my intention.
And when I was done? I was hangry. So hangry. I ate a Tofurky peppered slices sandwich and juiced all the blueberries and strawberries (and a couple of kiwis).
Oh, and I got up at 6:30 am. It took until after 7 am for me to get dressed, drink my preworkout (plant-based), and start. Although I was done with the workout by 7:30 am, I then had to feed the dogs, unload the dishwasher, bring up the trash cans, take out the trash, clean out the sink, stop the cat from harassing the dogs…so, I didn’t even get a sandwich made and juice ready for almost another hour. Some days are just rough…but never miss a Monday.
