Monday Makery: Getting That Clean House Smell

Yeah, I know…it starts with a clean house. Also, we have three dogs. We love our dogs. We also had Uriel’s pandemic birthday party (which consisted of us, his two adult brothers, his aunt and uncle, and another uncle). I usually call him BB for Baby Bull. He’s 11 now and not a baby anymore. Sigh.
Even when you clean, if you have dogs, you know how it can be. And I love the smell of certain things. I love my diffuser. It’s just a cheap little bastard I bought from Walmart. I used to have a light up one for my home office. Anyway…sometimes you want your house to continually smell nice. I know I like it. Anyway, here’s how to do it:
- 3 drops lavender oil
- 3 drops eucalyptus oil
- 3 drops citrus oil of your choice
- 3 drops of Purification oil (I do not use straight tea tree oil. I have dogs. Purification does have tea tree, but I diffuse it in an area that they generally do not go into and they certainly don’t eat or drink in. I’m not a vet, but tea tree oil is NOT good for dogs.)
- 2 drops of peppermint oil (again, not placed or diffused in an area where our cat generally eats, drinks, sleeps, or hangs out.)
Place those drops with the water into your diffuser. I run mine for a little bit during the day or before we have company (even after I clean because it provides extra fragrance).
